The Process

September 2011: I noticed a Orientation Leaders wanted ad on Tbird Connection!
Early October 2011: I submitted my application and resume to Sheena Kauppila, the director of Orientation.
October 31, 2011: Deadline for applications.  I crossed my fingers and waited for an email or a call!
November 1-4, 2011: Group interviews.  Mine went well!  I did a skit on being a TBird with other interviewee's and we had to put together a group of fake "O"-Leaders.  I made some great new friends!
November 5, 2011: Got an email saying I had done well during the group interviews and I was invited to come back for a personal interview the following week!
November 7-11, 2011: Personal interviews.  In my interview I was asked lots of scenario questions....then I was asked, 'If you could be a Princess, who would you be?" Best Question Ever!
November 18, 2011, 11:04 am: Got an email from Sheena that said this:

Congratulations,
You have been selected as a 2012-2013 Orientation LeaderWe thank you for sharing your experiences with us, and we are excited to get to know you over the course of the next year.  The competition was stiff this year, so congratulations on standing out among a group of stellar individuals.  Please take the time to review the job description and expectations.  Once you reply to this email accepting the position, you are agreeing to the following expectations.

Please watch your email over the next few weeks as that is my preferred method of communication.  I would like to get us together for a celebration to meet the new team, so watch for a doodle.  I will also have add/drop forms that you can come fill out to get registered for the training course, so please stop by my office at anytime.
Thank you for your application!  And again, Congratulations!
